In a lovely location, in a pretty town, the Old Smiddy is a real find. We had a drink and a sandwich for lunch, which were good value and very tasty. Service was very friendly and efficient. Strongly recommended.

We had a day out and popped into The Old Smiddy which was recommend by a friend.Its a lovely place with great atmosphere. You can sit inside or outside.They.also sell jewellery and accessories.We only had a snack if cheese toasties and tea for two but it was really nice and waiting staff were very helpful and pleasant. Worth a visit.

Lovely tea room serving hot and cold drinks, fresh homemade soup, sandwiches, paninis or wraps and all served with tortillas and a lovely homemade coleslaw also serve wide range of cakes and scones. Lovely peaceful surroundings in the cafe or sit outside by the water. Also had a gift room and staff were really lovely. Great time here.

One of my favourite places . So friendly and welcoming. The food is always freshly prepared. The soup is always piping hot and rather moreish. Fabulous scones and so much more . A gem in lovely Strathaven.
